This page explains what you need to apply and how to gather the necessary information.
Documents that you will need
You will need to attach a certified copy of:
Proof of your identify:
- Photo page of NZ passport or
- NZ citizenship document or
- Full NZ birth certificate (issued on or after 1 January 1998), or
- Photo page of Australian passport or
- If you are a permanent resident, photo page of overseas passport and the relevant Visa Document.
AND
- Your NZ student ID card or NZ driver's license.
- Academic transcript. (This can be certified or verified by your tertiary provider).
And also attach
- CV
- Cover letter - up to three - one per employer
All documents need to be saved as PDFs. We won’t consider documents in any other format.
Decisions you need to make
- Preferred employers (up to 3)
- Practice settings (up to 5)
- Where around New Zealand you are willing to work? Most employers list their different locations around New Zealand separately in the ACE system. Make sure you carefully consider which regions you would be willing to work in. If you are willing to move, then say so in your cover letter.
You need to consider all three choices together as not all practice settings or employers are available in all locations.
